GEMate series provides cost-effective bridge function to support full-duplex Giga Ethernet over STM-1/DS3.
GEMate series is a Giga Ethernet over SDH/PDH service unit, which converts 1,000 Mbps full duplex Giga Ethernet to STM-1/DS3. Its target application is mainly the transparent Giga traffic interconnection via existing SDH/PDH networks.
GEMate series implements the latest layer 2 over SDH/PDH technology (GFP, Generic Framing Procedure, ITU-T G.7041) to encapsulate Giga Ethernet frame over SDH/PDH network.
Versatile LEDs are provided for alarms and status indication. A RS-232 console interface with in-band management is embedded in GEMate series for debugging and diagnosis.
